REG and TI-Rwanda Commit to Fighting Corruption in Electricity Services
Rwanda Energy Group (REG) and Transparency International Rwanda (TI-Rwanda) today reinforced their joint fight against corruption in electricity service delivery.
At a meeting held at REG HQ, REG CEO Ron Weiss Zimuyenzi highlighted that ongoing staff training and awareness campaigns are already producing results while emphasizing the need to improve REG’s ranking in future bribery indices.
TI-Rwanda presented key risks, including staff soliciting payments for electricity services and local-level governance challenges.
Both organizations reaffirmed their commitment to building public trust, protecting citizens’ rights, and ensuring integrity guides every aspect of REG’s operations.
