Rwanda to Host ISO 2025, Advancing Global Standards
Rwanda will host the ISO 2025 Annual Meeting from 6–10 October, uniting leaders and experts from over 176 countries to strengthen international standards that support innovation, quality, and sustainable development.
The ISO Annual Meeting and General Assembly 2025, themed “United for Impact,” marks the second time Africa hosts the event since South Africa in 2019. Nearly 70 years after ISO’s establishment, Rwanda’s hosting highlights its growing role in global governance and standard-setting.
Delegates will include government officials, UN representatives, CEOs of multinational organizations, continental unions such as the African Union and European Union, public and private standards bodies, research institutions, NGOs, and global consumer protection associations.
The meeting aims to address urgent global challenges, including sustainability, digital transformation, and quality infrastructure, emphasizing how international standards drive economic growth, foster trust, and deliver practical solutions to societal needs.
Rwanda’s hosting positions the country as a hub for dialogue, collaboration, and innovation, reinforcing its commitment to shaping global policies and contributing to sustainable development on the international stage.
