Minister Ndabamenye Urges Climate-Resilient Transformation in Agriculture
Rwanda’s Minister of State for Agriculture and animal resources ( MINAGRI), Dr Telesphore Ndabamenye, stressed the urgent need to transform agriculture in response to climate change, shifting food trade dynamics, and evolving market demands.
He made these remarks at the closing of the 6th East African Farmers Federation (EAFF) Congress.
The theme of the congress was a strong reminder of the realities farmers are facing and the importance of adopting innovative and resilient approaches to ensure food security and sustainable growth.
The Minister Ndabamenye added that the legacy of this congress will be defined by a shared commitment to scaling climate-resilient practices, strengthening farmer organizations, deepening regional collaboration, and turning agriculture into a rewarding investment for farmers and communities.
